It seemed like a good idea…

When you decide to make eight “Little Red” dolls. It might be wise to bone up on your math.

Eight Little Red’s mean 40 mushroom tops and 40 mushroom stalks

Eight Little Red’s also mean approx 160 French knots.

dollmushrooms

Eight “Little Red’s” also means 96 little teensy eyes on little teensy shoes

I haven’t even started on the vegies.

  1. Is there going to be a "Little Red" story? Can't wait to see if she meets up with Baxter. And no, I don't seem to have a life.

  4. And this is why I refuse to do maths. Ignorance is bliss ;-)
The French knots I'd be happy with, but those eyelets...they are a different story.

  10. Ah yes, the story of many times in my life.... 'it seemed like a good idea at the time'. Perhaps it will be like giving birth.... bloody awful while you're in the midst of the whole thing (so I hear), and then you forget as soon as it's over and you see the beautiful result!

  11. MATHS! A very big bane of my life. One of the reasons I chose to become a kinder teacher was because i couldn't really count past my fingers. I can manage 5 Green and speckled frogs no probs! Oh and the other reason was so that I would be taller than my students! Ha ha, that rule went out the window when i started teaching at TAFE. Luckily maths only comes into play when I am crafting and working out percentages off at sales! And I like both of those things!
Now a smart girl like you shouldn't waste her time counting up French knots!
