Tis a lonely life

being a blog- especially being a blog belonging to someone all caught up in the school concert. Yes she tosses the occasional thought my way and says "I should blog that" but she inevitably has no photos and its too dark and another day passes.
To be honest she is not doing anything very exciting anyway, She has a basket of half-done stuff and occasionally a dog will get stuffed or a head will be attached. Long car trips are actually a 'sit down and rest bonus" at the moment.

One new toy is trying desperately to emerge but he is fighting an almost pathological obsession with screen printing that will definitely result in "she-who-owns-the-blog building herself a mobile screen printing press. (As soon as time permits).
She is home today, and as usual expected to achieve 50 things before breakfast. She thought about some stuff, she talked on the phone about some stuff, she should be emailing some people, she needs to buy some clamps, she needs to think about dinner and she probably should have responded to her son's SOS about being at school with no lunch - but she blogged.

  4. I think blogging is an addiction, you do it when you know you should be doing other stuff, try to give it up and you suffer withdrawals and then a bunch of equally addictive people ask why arent you blogging! Go figure!

  5. You have a craft basket like no other, amazing fabric on that puppy. Why do high schoolers still forget lunch, i still put it in each of my children's bags, yet they can still manage to leave it at home in place of sports gear or in the car??!! Love walking into student services & donating it to the pile of other high schoolers who can't remember to carry their lunch either. I'm well know to lost property too, argh!! Love Posie

  17. You've just written my day for me! I shall simply cut and paste your post into my blog (delete lunch bit because it's summer holidays here). I might take out the stuffed legs, too, because I don't make those (yet - until my pattern arrives :)). But other than that, SAME DAY. Every day. Gawd, when will I accomplish something? Anything?

  18. Um, that is a TOY dog getting stuffed I hope? Seeing the cat in the stuffing bag last time makes one wonder!

Teenagers who forget their lunch are learning valuable life lessons in self management. Taking him lunch would only impede his self development and would therefore be the Wrong Thing To Do. (Why yes, I HAVE said "tough" to the old-enough-to-be-responsible children who leave their lunch at home. Why do you ask?)

  19. She is absolutely right to be blogging. If she were to dash up to the school on a mercy mission with the lunchbag she would be impeding the teenager's ability to develop fully as an independent human being.

Am I the only one to feel slightly disturbed at the assorted bodies in various states of stuffage in that there basket?
