Saturday

Please excuse Jodie from blog attendance today.
She had the best of intentions,
but the Grim fandango's are rehearsing here today
and a mothers love can only extend so far before her ears begin to bleed.

  5. Aaaaah ... I remember those days well. I recall the songs my cousin and his anarcho/punk band practiced 23 years ago at our place.I wish your ears peace.

  7. Hmm, I recall a Curator friend of mine and her husband jumping up and down to the Clash, a fave punk band. Their teenage daughter came downstairs and yelled at them, "Will you turn that noise down!"

I think she was going on the principle, if you can't beat 'em, confuse 'em.

So... more Grim than Fandango then?!

  8. Nevermind. Soon all the children will be gone, and all you will have is an empty nest and tinnitus.

  12. Hmm something I have yet to experience, I thought nearly 3 and 5 yr olds were too loud. My brother swears by the yellow ear plugs at the chemist, made of squashy foam, he uses them on the tractor. But really you need some fluffy hot pink ear muffs, the sort fashion tragics wear on the ski slopes because that will annoy the *@#^@ out of him and he might take up practise at a mates place or even in the next town - just dont make it Horsham or my brother will complain! Happy blogging Sue SA.

  16. I'm very grateful for the fact that Pip's drummer is not allowed to move his drums, so they HAVE to rehearse at his place every time.

  17. Did Jodie feel a need to go far, far away? Or only wish them there?

  18. Never had any children, and as a result no teenage garage band in my garage - and from that perspective, I envy you. Not the actual teenagers or the actual band, but the idea.

I guess that's what I'll be facing if my oldest gets a band going.
