I'm not as nice as you think I am .... Giveaway

yeah yeah, I know I don't play by the rules....I had a giveaway and didn't even tell you.

You see, sometime ages ago, the Very wonderful Megan asked me if I would like to be included in the 2011 sewing calendar (silly question).Of course I was happy to oblige.

Last week I received two copies in the mail, one for me and one for you, actually mine will probably go to my mum......... (Does that weird Mum-collecting-every word-ever-said-about-you-thing-ever-stop ?)

The calendar is so good , it has heaps of really fun projects, lots of templates and lots of new blogs to check out. There is heaps of variety and yes lots of the projects are available on the Internet as tutorials but this has over 100 projects all together in one spot.
My projects are both available here on my sidebar, the tape-measure pouch and the one-hour softies.
I'm not sure where this is available in Australia, but it would make a great present for a crafty friend. On a quick flick through I saw Ellen's great bunnies and the great watch from Lucykates craft. (man I keep some fine company)

So I went back through the last few posts and got the teenagers to pick some numbers and the winner is.......... Tracey of Peppermint Patcher......

(and the I'm not as nice as you think I am bit comes in when even though the giveaway is over....I still put giveaway in the title just to mess with the people who trawl blogs just to enter giveaways..... yeh , I'm evil)

  1. Oh my! I'll need to polish my tiara and prepare my thank you speech!

This is most certainly the best competition that I never entered.

  2. Teehee. Loving the whole 'messing w people's minds' thing. Kind of like you might mess w a teenager's mind by collecting them from a social gatehring wearing jammies and a chenille dressing gown for example.

  3. Congratulations! I bought a copy of that calendar at Dirt Cheap Books last year for $5.00. I know you can buy them from Fishpond for a lot more though, I guess I was very lucky to be in the right spot at the right time. Might have to have a look for this one too.

  14. No, the Mum thing never stops. I was never sure if it was because she was thrilled or just couldn't believe I'd actually done anything that amazing and wanted proof!!

If you're going to be evil, you may as well at least do it properly... and you are clearly an expert!

How about softie bats with sheep heads and fangs? Then... you let them loose!!!

  20. Your giveaway is like the bear that farts in the forest and no one heard it, so did he really fart? Only better. Less smelly, for one.

  21. Your evil is good evil, if you know what I mean. It's only evil to people who deserve it. Well done Tracey!

  22. I do these kind of giveaways on my blog a lot... love that the regular readers have a chance. I don't promote mine at all and prefer that others don't...

  23. This is the best giveaway ever! Thanks for the giggle this morning.

    Congrats on the Calender!

  24. The calendar looks great! Congratulations to you and to your mum and of course to the lucky winner! Do people really trawl posts for giveaways? I always wondered why giveaway posts got so busy! My pet hate is when a giveaway post gets 50 gazillion comments but few people bother to comment on the "and the winner is..." post. If I've entered a giveaway (normally only on sites I visit and comment on regularly) then I try to always remember to leave a comment congratulating the winner (and the giver AND their mum if necessary!!!) Me xx

  25. An Evil Genius! Mwahhahaha!!!

(that was meant to be an evil laugh, don't know if it translates so well in type. hehe)

Oh, and congrats on being included, very cool!

  26. Awesome post-giveaway post if that makes sense! Congrats to Tracey!!
I do love the way your evil mind thinks!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. If that is evil-thinking, then you've got lots of company - including me. I love that you do it that way!

  28. Congratulations on being in the calendar ! I hope you are feeling much better .

  29. I think this is the bestest type of giveaway - rewards your loyal readers!

Except you went and picked the wrong peppermint - gah, so close!! Sob.

    Congratulations Peppermint Patcher!

Yes you are evil. 'Swhy we like you.

    Cheers,

  30. You're not evil, Jodie - just baaaaaahmy! Hope that rotten lurgie has disappeared.

  31. Ooohhhh, why oh why couldn't it have been meeeee!!!!!

  32. Just wanted to say that in the second link on your post there is a link to where you can buy the calendar :-) I never win giveaways, even ones that I don't even get time to enter..lol! I think it's some evil hacker who has turned all of the random number generators against me :-(

    ReplyDelete
  33. Wow! That was amazingly generous. Now you'll have to go out and buy two more so your children can show it off to all their friends. AND I think that teacher at school who wrote the less than flattering words on your school report should get a copy just so he/she can see what genius types can do. And Granny - surely she wants one.

  34. I just love the way you do your giveaways, Jodie! Yay for Peppermint Patcher!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Cool! I already have that calendar of my list of things to buy, it's excellent that someone else I know is in it! Congrats to you, Jodie!

  37. People trawl blogs just to enter giveaways?! Goodness - how mean some people are!
I guess I am a blog lurker as i dont have my own blog yet - but I read em cos I LOVE reading em and have bought quite a few books written by 'my blog Ladies' - maybe i will have the courage to enter a giveaway when i have my own blog so can give back, but...
Just can't believe it!... Good on you for beating the baddies, lol.
Great Calendar by the way - DEFo on my 'to buy' wish list.
